The Representative Council of North East Jewry extends heartfelt condolences to His Majesty King Charles III and to all members of the Royal Family on the sad passing of our gracious Queen Elizabeth II.
The passing of Queen Elizabeth has been sorely felt by the Jewish communities in the North East and the outpouring of grief is evidence of the deep affection in which the Queen was held. Queen Elizabeth was humble, compassionate and wise. The Queen represented the very best of Britain – a country of refuge for so many in our community – and we are forever in her debt.
May her memory be a blessing.

March of the Living UK mourns the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
She was a Queen for all peoples. For most of us we don’t remember life before her and for our wonderful survivors they remember clearly her coronation.
Our thoughts and prayer are with King Charles III and the whole royal family.

The Scottish Council of Jewish Communities, on behalf of the Jewish Community in Scotland and together with other Jewish Communities in the UK and the Commonwealth, joins in mourning the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. We offer our deepest sympathy on her sad passing to the new King, His Majesty, Charles III, and all the Royal Family.
We recall with gratitude Her late Majesty's kindnesses to the Jewish Community, and her own strong personal faith. As Supreme Governor of the Church of England, she stated that "the Church has a duty to protect the free practice of all faiths in this country", and commented that all religions provide "critical guidance for the way we live our lives, and the way we treat each other”.
We remember the commitment, wisdom, and dignity with which she led this nation for more than 70 years in times of hardship and prosperity, and we pray that these qualities will be a light and a guide for her successors. We pray, in the words composed by Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee, that the new King and his ministers and counsellors be granted wisdom and understanding, so that they and we may live together in justice and peace, and walk together in the paths of unity, freedom, and harmony.
We pray that Her memory will be a comfort and a blessing for the new King, for the Royal Family, for the nation, and for the Jewish Community.

As an Italian living in the UK, I always admired Queen Elizabeth.
Her presence was remarkable. Her style and colours. Her sense of duty and Her faith shined through Her service to the British people and to the Commonwealth. Also Her love for horses will never be forgotten.
Queen Elizabeth will be dearly missed.I send my deepest condolences for Your loss. And as a Jewish - I wish you all Long Life.
God save the King!
Mr Davide Scelsi
it is with great sadness that I heard of the passing of our Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. I was extremely privileged to meet her when she and Prince Philip attended a celebratory event of the BoD some number of years ago at the Guildhall. We all stood around in a huge circle and Her Majesty spoke to each one of us individually.
We were privileged to live through such a reign
Mrs Sylvia Hartman
I mourn the loss of Her Majesty, the mother of our nation. She was the focus of our united efforts, and in an age of increasing polarisation and division her majesty acted as a stabilising and unifying symbol of a United Kingdom. The Queen was able to sense the mood of the times without abandoning the main principles of what the Monarchy stood for. She also remained true to her faith and as people of faith we can appreciate that and welcome it. The Queen will be sorely missed.

Her Majesty The Queen, mother of our nation. As we the people reflect in pride and gratitude we collectively grieve and stand untied in humble thanks for all her loyal service. Our Queen made a promise to serve us her whole life and she kept her word to the letter right up until the very end. What a shining example to all her subjects. Her tireless work, her beautiful smile and legendary sense of humour coupled with her selfless duty and hard work made her a wonderful ambassador and shining light to the whole world. She took a real interest in people and their life stories. She was not trained for the position but even if she had been our Queen could not have done a better job. As Her Majesty our Queen goes on her way to join her beloved husband and rest in everlasting peace her son Charles steps into her place at this time of grief for him and his family together with his Nation, the Commonwealth and the rest of the world. I have no doubt he will do an excellent job. He has been preparing for this all his life and he is well aware of what is expected of him. Hopefully King Charles and his family will take some comfort in the fact that his mother touched so many and was able to reach out to all religions and none (as she would say). I am proud to call myself British and to have shared my Queen with the rest of the royals and the rest of this country. I pray that her dear sweet soul will now rest in everlasting peace and my her good name be engraved into the rest of the royal family and the countries and people she served so well. Thank you so much xx

On behalf of Barbara and myself, we would like to offer our sincere condolences to King Charles III and all the Royal Family on the sad loss of Queen Elizabeth II. She was the guiding light for the United Kingdom these last 70 years and will be greatly missed by all. We had the honour of meeting her at a Royal Garden Party in 2017 on behalf of AJEX and she was gracious with a wicked sense of humour. She also had great knowledge of our charity.
May she rest in peace.

I was greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The late Queen was a source of stability and constancy in our Nation and was rightly admired around the world. As British Jews, we benefited greatly from her sheer decency and her encouragement of tolerance towards others. She was a wonderful role model and an exceptional human being who understood the meaning of doing one’s duty and serving her people with devotion. She will be hugely missed by her loyal subjects.

A shining example of selfless commitment and dedication. A woman who used her position and capability for the good of us all, in an era when so many focus on self-aggrandisement.

I feel privileged to have been born in our beloved Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. She really was an “Eshet Hayil”… a woman of valour. I am sure King Charles III with his Queen Consort Camilla will uphold all her values and bring his own personal mark onto his reign.
I wish King Charles and all his family a “Long life".

I perticular admire the way that Her Majesty The Queen (then Princess Elizabeth) supported Her father
King Gerge The Sixth and the courage they both showed during the dark days of World War Two. Her courage and Her loyalty to The United Kingdom in those days must not be forgotten.

We join the many Jewish families across the globe in expressing our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and may the Queen’s memory be a blessing.
