I am so saddened by the death of Her Majesty the Queen. Through her warmth, humour and dignity, she was a beacon of light to so many people in the United Kingdom particularly during the recent hard times of Covid and the isolation of lockdown. Although Queen Elizabeth was the head of the Church of England, I think most other religious communities felt that she belonged to them too. I wish King Charles and the rest of the royal family long life.

Mrs Vivienne Fleet

The JPR trustees and staff mourn the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, and we send our heartfelt condolences to the whole Royal Family. The Queen was an extraordinary leader, dignified, dutiful and dependable, and an inspiration to people all over the world. She will be deeply missed - may her memory always be a blessing.

ORT UK mourns the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Her sense of duty, stoic nature and generosity of spirit, made her an inspiration to the entire Jewish community. We join the nation in grief at this sad time.

Our thoughts are with King Charles III and all the Royal Family.

May her memory be a blessing.

Mrs Debbie Lightman
ORT UK

Following the many messages of congratulations provided in June on her majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations we now offer similar thoughts on our gracious queen’s passing . She has been the total value of model consistency in our nation during her 70 year reign. Nobody else could have provided the degree of service that she did as she pledged when she came to the throne.
We now move forward as we say god save the King Charles 3 rd

I held the Queen in the highest regard as she was in the most remarkable lady. She will always be remembered with great love and affection.

Mr Philip Seligman

My deepest condolences to the Royal Family. I was born in 1953, the year of the Coronation and have never knownnany difference to the Queen being on the Throne. When I was awarded my MBE for my work for the Jewish LGBT+ community in the 2017 Birthday Honours List, I hoped the Queen would be at the Investiture - alas she was not. I never met her but will miss her greatly.

MS Peggy Sherwood MBE

We mourn the loss of an exceptional leader and inspirational sovereign who selflessly served this nation, the commonwealth and very ideals that we as a community cherish. May Her Majesty's memory forever be a blessing, and may the Sovereign of the universe guide King Charles III as he leads us through times of scarcity and plenty. God Save the King.

Me and my family were so saddened to hear about the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
She will be remembered with fond and happy memories, not only dealing with happy occasions but sad ones too.
It is hard to think that the Queen is no longer amongst us as we were used to seeing her at various state visits.
Our thoughts are with King Charles III and the Royal family.

Mr Anthony Reubens

So balanced, graceful and blessed with foresight, I doubt we'll see the likes of her again on the world stage for 100 years.

From my earliest childhood, when I had a beloved jigsaw of the Queen on horseback during Trooping the Colour, the Queen has been an inspiration, serving her country and leading by example, and her commitment to her role continued right to the very end. Like so many of us, hearing of the Queen's death reminded me of my own mother, and as I mourn the death of our sovereign, I also mourn my own loss once again. May the Queen's memory be a blessing and I wish all the Royal Family long life.

Ms Janet Mundy

HM The Queen was a unique public servant and an inspiration to her subjects throughout the world. We are particularly grateful at AJEX, the Jewish Military Association, for her support for servicemen and women and veterans, including her annual message marking our own Annual Parade. Many Jewish veterans were honoured to meet her during her 70 year reign. Our thoughts are with her children, grand-children and great grand-children. And may her memory be as a blessing for the whole nation.

National Chairman Dan Fox
