To the children, granchildren and all relatives of the late Queen Elizabeth II,
It is with the deepest sadness and immense sense of loss, a loss that is impossible to bare that we heard yesterday of the passing of the greatest monarch that has ever been. Her virtues were so beautiful, the skillset in which she carried out her duties and the ease at which she put everyone whom she came across throughout her reign were beyond human strength. She was the most modest and humble queen anyone could wish for. She managed the ups and downs of her life, the joys and challenges with the greatest dignity possible whilst always remaining true to herself and her beloved husband and family. May we wish you all our deepest condolences and may the grief that you feel as each minute, hour and day passes eventually turn into treasured memories of the most outstanding selfless and wise Mother and Queen.

We wish King Charles III, good health, happiness and every success in his role as our new King. May you have a long and effective reign and may you find the strength to grieve as is so necessary and still lead with wisdom, tenacity and kindness. We pray that G-d will guide you through all matters in a seamless and timely manner.

With our heartfelt good wishes to our beloved Royal Family.

Our nation and many worldwide have been in mourning for our remarkable Gracious Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The amazing fact is that most of us have neither seen the Queen nor been officially introduced to her, yet she has deeply touched our lives in manifold ways.

I have "met" our Queen on a few occasions, years ago, through the aegis of our Board of Deputies in St. James' Palace. Although I was not formally introduced to her, I was rewarded with her amazing smile when standing in line, which was literally ‘Electric’. Without exaggeration, she had that הדרת פנים – Hadrat Panim - best translated as "Splendour of presence" - an aura about Her Majesty. On one occasion Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. disregarding protocol asked me one of his " cheeky" questions to which, not expecting to be addressed and forgetting myself, I answered in an equal manner. Realising my inappropriate address to Prince Philip, I apologised profusely to which he answered " Off with her head - To the Tower"! I can imagine our Queen saying "Philip - Really!"

I finally met our Queen z.l. In 2015, when privileged to be invited to a Garden Party after receiving a BEM for service to the community and charity. Standing in line, with my beloved husband Herbert z.l., I was again rewarded by her charming smile and nod of the head! My husband secretly managed to take a photograph which has pride of place in our home. I marvelled that when the Queen spoke to designated people, it was with genuine interest and earnestness.

Being an ardent Royalist, I have written to the Queen to congratulate or extend sympathy, whichever the occasion demanded. In one of my letters, I thanked our Queen for her true מלכות של חסד – a Malchut shel Chesed - a monarchy of loving kindness – which we, as British Jews, fully appreciate. Having dual citizenship, I also love living in England out of a passion for the Monarchy. I treasure the replies by her Lady-in waiting, on the Queen's behalf.

Albeit in a small way, I feel honoured to be able to contribute a few words about a remarkable Monarch - a Mother Figure to all – keeping in mind her responsibility and care for her own Family and helping those in need -in keeping with the work of BRITISH EMUNAH. The Queen was loved worldwide by so many, whose influence and exemplary attributes of loyalty and duty to G-d and the nation will be eternal. I teach the Book of Psalms, whose very words resonate with the Queen’s religiosity. Indeed Proverbs 31:10 – Eshet Chayil – “A woman of worth who can FIND…” sums up Her Majesty’s qualities – we may never FIND such an outstanding Monarch again! Yehi Zichrah Baruch. May Her memory be for a Blessing!

May our King Charles 3rd be blessed and follow in his precious Mother’s footsteps. Long Live the King!

We send our heartfelt deepest condolences on the loss of a truly gracious dignified and devoted Queen

Mrs Phyllis and Judy Cohen

The AJR is deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. She has been a constant in the lives of our members who were offered a safe haven and place of refuge in the United Kingdom after being forced to flee from Nazi persecution, as well as those who came as survivors of the Holocaust. We are grateful for the interest Her Majesty showed in the lives of our members, for her empathy when hearing of the hardship and heartbreak experienced at the hands of the Nazis, and for the many Honours bestowed on our members for services to Holocaust education and commemoration. On behalf of the Jewish refugees and their descendants, we mourn the loss of our respected monarch and send our sincere condolences to King Charles III and the Royal Family.

Mr Michael Newman

Am amazing woman who led the United Kingdom and Commonwealth through good times and awful times. She was always able to say the right words, a skill I envy as I find writing this so hard. Queen Elizabth II exemplified dignity, loyalty and commitment to her role as Monarch.
I have an abiding respect and awe for the Queen - working at 96!

Ms Jean Harris

The passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
My feelings are that of gratitude to Her Majesty .
It was under her long and glorious reign that millions of refugees were welcomed to this hospitable country and built for them and their families a new life of freedom ,security and peace.
For most of us we knew no other monarch.
May Her memory be a blessing.

Mrs Yvette Moore

As we mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the world is coming together to reflect on her historic reign. She left behind an unparalleled legacy of apolitical leadership and service to her people. And despite the world’s uncertain and ever-changing landscape throughout her reign, the queen remained a constant and stable beacon of duty, morality and hope. On behalf of the Birkbeck Jewish Society, we send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family. May her memory be a blessing.

We will not forgot HRH Queen Elizabeth II and the example she set with her loyalty and dedication to serve.
I was personally delighted in her love and care of animals and the countryside and her wonderful smile.
May the Royal Family be comforted by all the fond memories of her that I am sure they will always remember And I wish them all Long Life.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of our beautiful, Queen Elizabeth 11. I will always remember her with love and admiration

Mrs Madeleine Morrison

I was born in 1933, during the reign of King George V and was an evacuee in Gloucestershire in 1940 when I heard the then Princess Elizabeth’s radio broadcast to the children of the Empire. Her empathy showed even then, as one of the many attributes which endeared her to millions of people worldwide. May her memory be for a blessing.

Mrs Lilian Gellnick

It is with deep sorrow that we pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The world mourns the loss of an extraordinary woman whose unwavering service and dignified presence has touched so many. She will be profoundly missed.

May her memory be a blessing, and her legacy remembered forever. In the words of our great monarch, grief is the price we pay for love.

With heartfelt condolences to all the royal family and to the people of Great Britain and the Commonwealth at this difficult time.

The Jewish Communities throughout Yorkshire are profoundly sorry at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth of blessed memory. She was a beacon of light and hope for all faiths and had been for almost the entire life of almost all our community.
Our thoughts and prayers extend to all the Royal Family on their personal loss of a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
May her dear sole rest in peace and the Royal Family all have long lives free from further sorrow.
