Condolence Messages to the Royal Family from the British Jewish Community

We wish to express our deepest condolences to His Royal Highness, King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla and all the Royal Family, on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, whom we will remember with great affection and respect.

We are grateful for her faithful dedication and service, reigning as our Head of State for seventy years with grace and wisdom, for all her subjects here and all over the Commonwealth, acting as our role model and source of inspiration and stability.

Our weekly Sabbath prayers in the synagogue, have for centuries included a prayer for the Queen and the Royal Family. 'May the supreme King of kings in his mercy preserve the Queen in life, guard her and deliver her from all trouble and sorrow. May he put into her heart and into the hearts of all her counsellors, a spirit of wisdom and understanding that they may uphold the peace of the realm, advance the welfare of the nation. We are ever grateful that with G-d's grace, our Queen has surpassed the expression of our prayers.

May the legacy of all that the Queen stood for continue to flourish and may her memory serve as an everlasting blessing to us all.

I, myself as a Jewish Scotsman can be proud to have been living in this our United Kingdom during the reign of our Queen Elizabeth. Her words and deeds were always an inspiration. She gave our great nation stability. Some had the good fortune to have met her in person others like myself caught glimpses of her.She may have left us in body but her spirit will stay with us

With my deepest sympathy to HM Queen Elizabeth II’s family & friends and those from the UK & commonwealth nations. She was an inspiration to me. May her memory be a blessing.

You have been a Constant, and guiding light for all these years to all the citizens under your domain. You have ruled wisely and steadfast with dignity and kept your oath to England and the Commonwealth, made when you became Queen. There have been so many important events, happiness, and sadness which you have borne throughout, and now it is your time to rest and pass the throne to your eldest son King Charles III to continue your legacy.
Your memory is a blessing to millions who will mourn you as a Monarch, a Mother, a Grandmother and a Lady who served her Country without complaint.
You will be deeply missed for years to come and it has been an honour to be a subject of your sovereignty.
May you Rest in Peace with your beloved Prince Phillip in the knowledge that your work is now finally done.

It is with profound sorrow that the executive, council and members of Newcastle Reform Synagogue, together with Rabbi Sybil Sheridan mourn the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We pay tribute to her life of selfless dedication to public duty and her positive actions to support inclusion of all faiths and communities across the world. May her memory be a blessing and her legacy an inspiration to us all.

May fond memories of the late Queen Elizabeth II provide some comfort through this time of mourning. May her qualities be an inspiration to us all. Wishing sincere condolences to Queen Elizabeth's family and friends.

Queen Elizabeth the Second has been part of the glue that holds our four nations together: Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England. And I hope that those who follow will be able to hold us together just as well. She has not only been Queen since 1952 but has been playing a role, and a leading one, in public life long before that. Her peaceful devotions to duty was breathtaking amid all the transiantiness of the political and media classes it was most refressing and indeed so was her honesty. May her memory be for a blessing and may she be at peace in her place of rest.

Queen Elizabeth has been a remarkable influence on our lives. I can remember her Coronation as a young child and a visit to my school Mill Hill in the late 50's. She has been a remarkable Queen throughout her reign. She has made Members of our Jewish Faith feel welcome and at home in the UK. She will be sorely missed but we are confident that her eldest son King Charles III will follow in her footsteps.

The Queen gave her life to her country, she had dignity, humour, commitment and dedication. We have lost a great leader, you have lost a very loved member of your family.
