VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: Lauren Lewis

Lauren Lewis is the Program Associate for RISE by Sundara, a non-profit organisation supporting female entrepreneurs in low and middle-income countries to resolve critical water, sanitation, and hygiene issues in their own communities. Lauren is also a final year Politics with Global Development student at Leeds Beckett University and former Publicity Officer for Leeds Jewish Society.

Lauren is a member of Whitefield Synagogue.

Through her role at Sundara, she has interviewed female entrepreneurs from across the globe, supporting her team to select potential candidates to become a RISE fellow. Currently, RISE has five fellows from Armenia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana, and India, with the hope of expanding this year as there is an unprecedented need for support with sanitation and hygiene.

Recently, Lauren supported RISE with a partnership with Goldman Sach’s Analyst Impact Fund, where the current cohort of RISE fellows had the opportunity to receive feedback on their pitching skills.

Currently, Lauren is supporting RISE with their new Kehila [Community] Grants which supports small-scale water, sanitation, and hygiene projects. To support RISE by Sundara, click here.
