In light of the conflict in Israel following the 7th October terror attacks, Board of Deputies Vice-President Edwin Shuker has written to headteachers and governors of non-Jewish schools, in particular those with significant numbers of Jewish pupils. The letter contains helpful guidelines on how to sensitively deal with discussions of current events, as well as advice that the teaching of Judaism RE should not be avoided or postponed.
