Jonathan Arkush ‘warmly welcomes’ Government’s adoption of IHRA definition of antisemitism

Jonathan Arkush, President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the national representative body of the UK Jewish community, ‘warmly welcomed’ the Government’s adoption of the IHRA definition of antisemitism:

“With antisemitism on the rise it has become essential to have a clear definition against which to assess attitudes that are or may be racist.  The adoption of the IHRA formulation will bring clarity and consistency and I warmly welcome its adoption by the Government.”
