Board statement on antisemitism statistics

New statistics published by the Community Security Trust show that antisemitic incidents doubled in 2014 over 2013.

Board president Vivian Wineman commented that the rise in reported figures was “concerning” but that government had taken appropriate action to combat hate.

“The rise in antisemitism confirms our personal experiences. But we are reassured that the government and the other political parties are taking this seriously. We share their conviction that the UK is and should be a safe place for Jews to live.”
