Board of Deputies writes to Home Office over incendiary comments by David Miller

Our statement on recent comments by disgraced former academic David Miller:

“We have written to the Home Office over the incendiary rhetoric of disgraced former academic David Miller. We have serious concerns that he is directly inciting violence against Jewish individuals and institutions in this country.

“Fresh from attending the Beirut funeral of Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of proscribed terrorist group Hezbollah, Miller has now stated that “the entire Zionist movement globally” is responsible for “genocide”, and should be “targeted”, while emphasising that the vast majority of Jews in the UK feel a significant and personal attachment to Israel.

“Miller said yesterday that “Protests are not enough… there are Zionists everywhere. In every town and city. Find out where they are”. We believe that this is clearly threatening language, intended to stir up racial hatred. We urge prompt action to reassure and protect the Jewish community.”
