The Board of Deputies has held discussions with the BBC following Louis Theroux’s podcast with Bob Vylan in which various offensive statements by Vylan went unchallenged.

Board of Deputies Vice President Andrew Gilbert said: “As soon as this podcast aired, the Board sought clarification from BBC executives. They have clarified this is not a BBC product and have sought to reassure us – as they did following Bob Vylan’s broadcast at Glastonbury – that ‘there can be no place for antisemitism at, or on, the BBC’ – a commitment we will continue to hold them to. They have also informed us that they currently have no projects in development to be presented by Louis Theroux.”
