Board of Deputies President calls for ‘concerning’ review of BBC coverage failures to be published

Board of Deputies President Phil Rosenberg has called for the BBC Editorial Guidance and Standards Committee’s review of significant shortcomings in the corporation’s news coverage to be published.

He said: “We are seriously concerned by reporting on the BBC Editorial Guidance and Standards Committee’s review of significant shortcomings in news coverage, including reporting on the Gaza Strip and the failures of BBC Arabic. These reports reinforce serious concerns that we have been raising directly with the BBC for some time. We must have transparency about these issues and call on the BBC to make available David Grossman’s review. We also need to see the Michael Prescott report that was recently sent to the BBC Board so that we can all judge both documents for ourselves.”
