Board of Deputies Acting President condemns ‘deeply disturbing’ attack on Israeli in London

Board of Deputies Acting President Adrian Cohen has condemned an unprovoked attack on an Israeli visitor in Golders Green, north-west London.

He said: “The assault on an Israeli visitor in Golders Green is another deeply disturbing reminder of the growing wave of antisemitic violence we are witnessing in London.  No one should face intimidation or attack because they are Jewish.

“In recent weeks, the Jewish community has endured stabbings, arson attacks, threats and repeated acts of hatred that have left many fearful for their safety.

“Our thoughts with the victim and his loved ones, and we urge the authorities to ensure those responsible are swiftly brought to justice.”
