Antisemitic ‘pig’s head’ attack condemned by Board of Deputies

Richard Verber, Senior Vice President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the national representative body of the UK Jewish community, today condemned an antisemitic attack on the grave of a Jewish holy site in Ukraine.

Jewish worshippers were teargassed and the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav was defiled with fake blood and a pig’s head in the attack on Wednesday.

Richard said: “This is a vile and reprehensible antisemitic attack on a popular pilgrimage site for Jews and must have been very distressing for those present. The perpetrators should feel the full force of the law.”
