CST data showing antisemitism at a historic high is ‘an intolerable situation demanding comprehensive response from government’

The Board of Deputies has reacted to the Community Security Trust’s annual  Antisemitic Incidents Report  which has recorded the  second-highest total ever reported to CST in a single calendar year.

“CST’s data shows reported antisemitic incidences remain at historic highs, an intolerable situation demanding a comprehensive response from government and wider society.

“The Heaton Park attack which claimed the lives of Adrian Daulby z”l and Melvin Kravitz z”l showed where anti-Jewish hatred leads. It is particularly sobering that antisemitism spiked after the murderous attacks in Manchester and Bondi Beach. We must stand together in defence of British values of tolerance and decency, and against hatred and division.

“We are working intensively with community partners, government, and civil society to advance a comprehensive response, in line with our co-published document: ‘After the Heaton Park Attack: Towards a comprehensive government strategy on antisemitism’, and our Commission on Antisemitism report, chaired by Lord John Mann and Dame Penny Mordaunt.”
