I extend my most sincere and deepest condolences to His Majesty King Charles III and to all of the members of The Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty was an incomparable monarch, respected, admired and beloved by her subjects and across the globe. To the Jewish Community in South Hampstead Synagogue she also was so admired and respected. We prayed as a community for her welfare weekly on the Sabbath. As we continue to do so for our respected King Charles III and all of the Royal Family. May her late Majesty’s memory be for a blessing.I wish you all long life. Your loyal subject.

Her Majesty's life was an example of service before self, an inspiration to the people of Britain and to the world. Her reign touched all of our lives. She will be sorely missed.

Sincerest condolences and heartfelt prayers to all the Royal Family on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II: mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. May the private and public memories of this wonderful, dedicated, lady always be for a blessing to all who knew and all who knew of her. Her influence for good throughout the world was so special and so much appreciated. May she rest in peace.

Ms Mina Abram-Hebblethwaite

Her Majesty was a figure of incalculable dignity and pride to our nation, consistently providing comfort at times of sadness and joy at times of celebration. Her Majesty’s devotion to her people was beyond equal and provides a model to all humankind of service to one’s community.

Her Majesty was selfless in giving her time and energy to causes which greatly affect the Jewish community. Her Majesty was a Patron of Norwood, a charity which helps more than 2,500 children and families in need and the Council of Christians and Jews which has done so much to advance positive relations between faiths. His Majesty The King’s dedication to such causes I am sure will remain steadfast. We recall with pride His Majesty’s visit to the office of World Jewish Relief, a member organisation of ours, in March 2022, where he embodied The late Queen’s finest qualities of curiosity, compassion and empathy.

For hundreds of years synagogues across the Commonwealth have prayed every Shabbat that God may “put the spirit of wisdom and understanding” into the heart of our Sovereign. Now, we pray for His Majesty The King to “uphold the peace of the realm, advance the welfare of the nation and deal kindly and justly with all the House of Israel.”

It is our great honour to be proud, British Jewish people in our United Kingdom and we pledge our loyalty to His Majesty The King and resolve to keep you in our prayers.

All British Jews should be grateful that we live at peace in a country in which we have been respected and honoured by the Royal Family, whose Head has been Queen Elizabeth II for the past 70 years. I am particularly grateful to have had the honour of meeting her on a number of occasions and to have received from Her acts of personal kindness while serving in Her Royal Air Force, as one of her Counsel, as one of Her Recorders, as one of Her Members of Parliament and as a Knight of Her Realm. Her thoughtfulness, gentleness and immense sense of duty will never be forgotten.

Sir Ivan Lawrence QC

I wish to pay tribute to Her Majesty, the late Queen Elizabeth II of blessed and happy memory. She was an inspirational role model for all people to follow: her religious faith that guided her always to put her country first before her own personal needs; her devotion to her people; her fidelity in carrying out her duty; her humility and great sense of humour - all will be much missed by myself and others. I can only thank Queen Elizabeth for her great service. I hope that Her Majesty can now rest in heaven at peace. I believe that Her Majesty has brought up her son, His Majesty King Charles III, with similar values and that he will be a great king for this coutnry and for the world. I send him my condolences for the loss of his loving mother. God Save the King!

Mrs Helena Grossman

I have always had the most immense respect for our Queen - from the time of her ascension to the Throne. She has been an example to us all. Seventy years of devotion to duty to others. No one could more deserve the love and respect
which has been so visible. May she rest in peace.

On behalf of Sutton Community I wish to express our sincere condolences to King Charles III and all the Royal Family on the sudden and so sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Her life featured all that was good and respected in all aspects.
It is hard to imagine life without her,yet I have confidence that King Charles will follow her path with assurity. The huge outpouring of support shows that there is a very strong base already, which I hope will ensure society is kept on the right path.
At a gathering at Buckingham Palace in 2019,at which I attended ,I was delighted when the then Prince of Wales expressed strongly his family's grateful thanks to the Jewish Community for their including a prayer for the lives and safety of the Royal Family at evry Shabbat. We are grateful to have lived during her lefespan, may she rest in peace.
God Save The King
