Work with us – employment and volunteering opportunities

The Board has a vacancy for a temporary Public and Governmental Affairs Officer for a year’s maternity cover commencing in August/September.

This post involves advancing and defending Jewish rights and practices. It includes advocacy, policy research, correspondence and administrative support on issues relating to equalities, religious freedom, interfaith and social action. For more details and to apply, click here.

Talented individuals are also being offered the chance to apply for a summer volunteership at the Board designed to give an insight into the workings of its dynamic public affairs team. Summer volunteers will have the opportunity to engage across a wide range of issues and disciplines. For full details of the programme, click here.

Volunteers are also needed to assist its Judaism education programmes. Qualities required include the understanding of Judaism – including lifecycle, synagogue, Torah and practice – and a desire to share knowledge and become an advocate for the Jewish community. Volunteers will also need to be available to assist when assemblies, tours and exhibitions are operating. If you are interested, email education policy and projects manager Sara Perlmutter at sara.perlmutter@bod.org.uk.
