The Kids Are Alright – Board of Deputies Youth Assembly

Join us for the inaugural Youth Assembly, hosted by The Board of Deputies of British Jews.

This is an unique Zoom event organised BY young people, FOR young people to have their say in our community.

We are delighted to share that we will be joined by our keynote speaker Stephen Bush. Stephen is the political editor of the New Statesman. He is a journalist, political commentator and podcaster, who has also written for the Guardian, the Financial Times and the i, and is the chair of the Board of Deputies’ Commission on Racial Inclusivity in the Jewish Community.

We are also excited to share that attendees will have the opportunity to attend a series of breakout sessions on key topics. Speakers include:

  • Ambassador Ishmael Khaldi on Israel Today
  • Sam Clifford on The Mikvah Project
  • Amos Schonfield and Moses Seitler on Understanding and Assisting Refugees
  • Bini Guttman on European Jewish Activism
  • Loretta Hodari on Anti-Racism
  • Jodi Coffman on Sustainability in Jewish Communities

The day will also include a Q&A session with the Board of Deputies’ Honorary Officers. Bring your burning questions to ask our representatives!

Please note that if aged under 18, you will be asked to fill out a consent form from a parent/guardian if you wish to attend.
