Following today’s Board of Deputies’ Israel debate, President Marie van der Zyl, said:
“The current policy of the Board of Deputies, as laid down in our Jewish Manifesto, is to ‘Promote peace projects that unite communities and resist boycotts that divide communities, advocating for a permanent and comprehensive solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that results in a secure Israel alongside a viable Palestinian state’. With today’s votes, the Deputies have reaffirmed that this is the policy of our organisation.”
