New Dawn at the Board

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Waterman as Public and Governmental Affairs Officer. Dawn will be the cover for Marcelle Palmer who starts maternity leave in September 2015.

Dawn joins the Board following extensive experience of working in public affairs in governmental, charity and private sector bodies, including Water UK, World Cancer Research Fund and the British Medical Association.

Director of Public Affairs Phil Rosenberg said, “Dawn will bring a considerable range of skills and experience to our work in defending Jewish religious freedoms, including Shechita, Brit Milah and being Jewish in the workplace. We wish Marcelle all the very best as she heads off on maternity leave.”

Dawn Waterman said, “I am very excited to be joining the dynamic Public Affairs Team at the Board of Deputies. The organisation has a tremendous impact on the lives of British Jews. Many of the projects I will be working on are fundamental to the vitality of British Jewish life and I am very much looking forward to getting started.”
