National Union of Teachers pulls its one sided educational resource following Board pressure

The National Union of Teachers has announced it will be “temporarily” pulling its educational resource purporting to show the daily struggle of  Palestinian children after public criticism from the Board, the Government and others about the unbalanced nature of the document.

Board Chief Executive Gillian Merron said: “Following representations from the Board and others we are pleased that the NUT have decided to pull its tendentious EDUKID teaching resource, albeit temporarily. Pupils learning about what it a very complicated conflict should be given a balanced view rather than this one-sided account and we appreciate the support of government on the issue.”
