Jews and Methodists come together to bid farewell to Barnet minister

The Board of Deputies in association with Barnet Synagogue will be bidding farewell to former Barnet Methodist Church Minister the Rev’d Colin Smith at a reception later this week.

Among the speakers at the event, to be held at Barnet Synagogue, will be Board President Jonathan Arkush and Baroness Kathleen Richardson, the first woman President of the Methodist Conference and a former moderator of the Free Churches Council.  A welcome will be offered by the rabbi of Barnet Synagogue, Rabbi Lerer.

Rev’d Smith, a longstanding friend of the Jewish community in north London, has taken up a position as superintendent of the Cambridge circuit and minister of Wesley Church in Cambridge.
