Board to host forum on climate change

The Board of Deputies Social Action Group (BoDSA) is arranging a Forum to be held on  October 1 to share perspectives on Climate Change and open a discussion on what Deputies and others can do in the run up to the UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) to be held in Paris in December 2015.

The event will be held in north west London (venue to be confirmed) from 7-9pm with special guest speakers Jonathon Porritt CBE – co-founder of Forum for the Future, writer, broadcaster and commentator on sustainable development; The Rt Reverend the Bishop of Salisbury – the Church of England’s representative on the international Bishops’ panel calling for urgent action on climate change;, and Rabbi Jeffrey Newman – Director of Earth Charter UK and Emeritus Rabbi of Finchley Reform Synagogue.  Rabbi Newman is also co-founder of the UK branch of the Israel-Palestine Centre for Research and Development. It will be chaired by Maureen Kendler, Director of Education at Tzedek
