Board of Deputies responds to misleading article in Jewish Chronicle

Responding to the misleading article about Marie van der Zyl and MEND in this week’s Jewish Chronicle, a Board of Deputies spokesperson said: “This is not what happened. The story and the leader are not based on facts. The Board of Deputies’ position on MEND has not changed. We will not be working with MEND. To use Stephen Pollard’s own words, President Marie van der Zyl considers MEND ‘to be the enemy of good relations between our communities’.”
