Board of Deputies President: ‘Louise Ellman’s resignation is a damning indictment of Labour’

President of the Board of Deputies  Marie van der Zyl has reacted to the decision of longstanding Labour MP Louise Ellman to resign from the party.

Marie said: “This is a damning indictment of Labour. Louise Ellman has been a devoted member of the party for over a half a century. With yet another Jewish MP resigning from Labour over antisemitism, the party’s leadership needs to look no further than the mirror to see the ugly truth about the spread of this prejudice.”
