Board of Deputies condemns antisemitic outburst by Palestinian leader

Board of Deputies Senior Vice President Richard Verber has reacted to antisemitic statements made by Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas.

He said: “We condemn the antisemitic comments of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in the strongest possible terms. His statement, that the Holocaust of European Jews was the result of their financial activities, has nothing to do with the Middle East conflict and is racism in its purest and most revolting form. This is neo-Nazism and must be called out be all civilised governments including our own.”
