Senior Vice President Richard Verber has accused the Polish Government of causing a “national embarrassment” over its latest statements on the Holocaust and its actions in honouring a group which collaborated with the Nazis.
Richard said: “Through their misguided legislation, their wild distortions of history like casting the Jews as the authors of our own genocide, and now honouring a Polish group that actually did collaborate with the Nazis, Prime Minister Morawiecki and his government are not restoring Polish pride and honour. Quite the contrary. They are causing a national embarrassment. The Polish Government must apologise and change course if it is to avoid lasting damage to its country’s reputation.”
